St.Petersburg State Polytechnical University trains foreign students since 1965. Over this period the University has trained more than 15,000 foreign students from 95 countries of Europe, Asia, Central, North and South America and Africa.

The first Pacific Children's Forum began on May 10. It brought together 40 secondary school students from Pacific Rim countries, from the USA, South Korea, China, Vietnam and Russia.
