Specialist

For Russian education there is traditional the second level of higher professional education, the so called "certificated specialist".

The term of study for this level of higher professional education is not less then five years, with the exception of cases provided by the state educational standarts.

A specialist training programme includes humanities, socio-economic and natural sciences of general scientific direction, general professional disciplines, and theoretical and practical training according to the chosen profession and specialization, supposing the different kinds of pofessional activity of the graduate.

The specialist training completed by the final attestation includes the defense of a degree work (project), conferring to the graduate the specialist qualification - "engineer", "teacher", "agronomist" , "economist" etc.

Hence specialists are prepared directly for the concrete chosen professional activity.
