The Worldwide Forum II of the Foreign Graduates of the Russian (Soviet) Higher Educational Institutions
On October 01, 2007 in the Column Hall of the House of Unions the grand opening of the World wide Forum II of the foreign graduates from the Russian (Soviet) higher educational institutions took place. More than 700 delegates from 135 countries gathered for the Forum.
With the welcoming speech Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Andrei Fursenko and First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev applied to the Forum participants. "The Russian education is popular these days as well. More than 120 thousand foreign citizens from 160 countries study now in Russia, including 80 thousand people from the CIS countries. We'll keep on granting scholarships to foreign students (7 thousands per year), improving their living conditions in dormitories and gaining the Russian diplomas acknowledgement," - the First Deputy Prime Minister told at the grand Forum opening. Then the First Plenary Meeting started and the floor was given to:
Gabriel Kotchofa, President of the Foreign Students Association in Russia, Associate Professor of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after Gubkin I.M. and the graduate of the same university,
Liu Jianfeng, the China delegation head, Standing Deputy Chairman of the China Association of the former Soviet Union and CIS graduates, Chief of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese National Political Advisory Council, the graduate from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute;
Saliam Tual, President of the Association of the Arab graduates from the higher educational institutions of Russia and the former Soviet Union, the chairman of the Club of the graduates from the institutes and universities of the former USSR named after Ibn-Sina, the Amman municipality official, the graduate from the Peoples Friendship University of Russia;
Arpad Szekely, the Ambassador of Hungary to Russia, the graduate from the Institute of Foreign Affairs;
Mamadsho Ilolov, President of the Academy of Sciences in the Republic of Tajikistan, Professor, Academician, the graduate from the Voronezh State University;
Viktor Sadovnichy, Chairman of the Rectors Union of the Higher educational Institutions in Russia, Rector of the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov M.;
Masayosi Sanefuji, Director of the Tokyo Russian Language Institute, the graduate from the Peoples Friendship University of Russia.
After a coffee break, when the graduates exchanged their views and filled in the questionnaires for the coming database of the graduates of the Russian (Soviet) higher educational institutions (this database will be placed in our system after data processing - please, watch the news and recent publications), Vitaliy G. Kostomarov, academician, Chairman of the International Coordinative Council of the graduates from the higher educational institutions "Inkorvuz-XXI", President of the State Russian Language Institute named after Pushkin A.S. spoke.

Mark Pomar, Director of the International Research and Exchange Board, the graduate from the Leningrad State University;
Habib Macki, Olympic Committee Deputy Chairman of Oman; the PFUR graduate;
Peter Mzirai, the representative of the Tanzanian Association of the graduates from the Russian(Soviet) higher educational institutes, the Progressive Party of Tanzania leader and founder, the PFUR graduate;
Frantisek Switala, Chairman of the Association of the graduates from the Saint-Petersburg higher educational institutes, Lublin, the teacher of the Lublin Technical University, the graduate from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, whose birthday concurred with the Forum opening, Congratulations!
Shankar Basu, Chairman of the Deli association of the graduates from the Russian (Soviet) higher educational institutions, Professor of the Deli University named after Javāharlāl Nehrū, who had finished the PFUR postgraduate study, using the opportunity - congratulations with the awarding him with an Order of Friendship in 2007!

Andrei A. Zarenkov, member of the Worldwide Coordinative Compatriot Board, who represented Estonia at the Forum,

After the First Plenary Meeting was summed up, the guests and participants of the Forum were invited to the stand-up party and the festive concert.
The Second Plenary session was held on October 3, 2007, in the main building of the MSU at the Vorobyovy Gory.
