Ambassador of Nigeria to Russia highly appreciates education at Kazan University
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Nigeria to the Russian Federation Timothy Mai Shelpidi visited Kazan (Volga) Federal University on April 12.
Pro-Rector for General Affairs and Continuing Education Riyaz Minzaripov and representatives of the university Department of International Relations received the guests.
Riyaz Minzaripov presented the guests information about the university and the current changes in the Russian Federation educational system. "As Russia President signed the Edict from October 21, 2009 on creating a federal university in the Volga Region, Kazan University now will win new space in the world's research and education space," the pro-rector noted.
The ambassador thanked for warm welcoming. "According to what I've heard, inclusion of your university in top 100 world's best universities is a matter of time," Mr Timothy Mai Shelpidi emphasized. According to words of the high-ranking guests, he received only positive reviews regarding quality and level of education from Nigerian students' who had studied at Kazan State University. Ambassador expressed hope his fellow-countrymen will continue receiving education at the prestigious university, the university press-centre informs.
