Russia to Spend More Public Funds on Education in 2011-2013
Russia will spend more public funds on education projects in 2011-2013, Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko told the Ekho Moskvy radio.
"The education budget will grow, although not as rapidly as it did in 2006-2008," he said.
The consolidated education budget stood at 790 billion rubles in 2005 and at 1.88 trillion rubles in 2010. It will grow to 2.1 trillion rubles in 2011, the minister noted.
