Putin allocates money for development of federal and national universities in Kazan
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has signed two decrees which state allocation of 11 billion rubles to RF Ministry of Education and Science for development of universities in Russia. The Russian Federation Government website informs about it.
According to one of the decrees, 5 billion rubles have been allocated for realization of the federal universities development program in 2010. These universities include Kazan (Volga) Federal University, Ural Federal University named after Boris Yeltzin, North-Eastern Federal University named after Ammosov, Far-East Federal University, and North (Arctic) Federal University.
Another decree signed by the Premier stipulates allocation of 6 billion rubles for the development of national research universities.
There are two national research universities in Kazan - Kazan State Technical University and Kazan State Technological University.
