School students to repeat Lomonosov trip

300 school students from cities across Russia will repeat the famous expedition for knowledge made by the Russian scholar, scientist and writer Mikhail Lomonosov in the 18th century.
The students will travel in cars which will pass through the territories of the Arkhangeslk, Volograd, Yaroslav and Moscow Regions to finish by the Kremlin walls on September 30th .
The Lomonosov expedition timed for the scientist's 300th birth anniversary marked this year aims to encourage students to show more zest for knowledge.
Mikhail Lomonosov was born in the Arkhangelsk Region in the early 18th century.
He had a passion for knowledge and joined a caravan travelling to Moscow when he was 19.
In 1755, Lomonosov took part in founding the Moscow State University, which bears his name.
