The 10th Pushkin in Britain festival of Russian poetry has opened in London. According to traditional, it began with a one-line recital competition, Voice of Russia reports. This year, it is "dressed up like a London dandy" - a line from Pushkin's novel in verse Eugene Onegin.
There will be a gala contest featuring the winners of Pushkin in Britain festival of the previous years. The festival runs until June 11 and will bring together Russian-language poets from 15 countries.
The Grand Prix is a trip with a Russian delegation to the island of Bali for the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival, one of the world's top five literary forums.
