A chain of graduation ceremonies at TSU has been started with international students - students from China awarded 'bachelor of philology' diplomas
The first graduation ceremony took place at TSU. The coveted documents have been granted to 16 new graduates of the Department of Philology who have come to study at TSU from China, two of the diplomas being with distinction.
Over the last two years, the Russian language has become native for the Chinese students: they have lived in a student dormitory, visited Tomsk museums and theatres, communicated with Russian peers. This kind of study program helped them achieve excellent results: they became the winners in near all categories of the VII All-Russian review contest of scientific and art-works among international students of the humanities. They got the highest awards for their bright scientific successes at the VI All-Russian Science and Practice Conference "Scientific initiative of international undergraduate and postgraduate students at Russian universities". There was also room for creation in their studies: in January, Khuan Yanlin became a laureate of the second online Festival of Friendship for undergraduates, master students, postgraduates and trainees studying Russian as a foreign language at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
- On behalf of the University's administration I wish you every success in your future work, promising career and remuneration, - said Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Alexander Ryovushkin, in his commencement address. - A special thanks should be said to your teachers who had to overcome all the difficulties on your way toward a diploma along with you.
At TSU, the students have studied under the double degree "2+2" program established jointly with the Shenyang Polytechnic University. They had been studying Russian for two years before that and then came to better their knowledge at the TSU Department of Philology.
