"The Days of the Russian Language" were held in Armenia
The staff of the Faculty of Humanitarian Technologies of RosNOU organized the scientific and methodical part of the program called "The Days of the Russian Language" that for the sixth time was held in Armenia on December 2-7, 2013. The event was organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo agency within the federal target program "The Russian Language". As part of the Russian delegation, the event was attended by O. Yu. Ivanova, Dean of the Faculty of Humanitarian Technologies and M. Yu. Antropova, Head of the Department of the Russian Language and Publishing.
"The Days of the Russian Language" were opened with IV International Scientific & Practical Conference for lecturers, post-degree students, master's students and students from Armenia, Russia and other CIS countries titled "Russian language as the means of implementing interdisciplinary connections in modern paradigm of education". At the conference that was held at the premises of several universities in Yerevan, Russian specialists in Russian philology, together with their Armenian colleagues, discussed the theoretical and practical issues of the existence of Russian language. The Russian delegation members spoke at the scientific and methodological seminar on the preservation of Russian language and Russian literature in the cultural heritage of Russia and Armenia, discussed the issues of bilingualism at the round table dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Russian language in families, had a number of open lessons and workshops demonstrating the present-day achievements in regard to Russian language teaching methods.
O. Yu. Ivanova and M. Yu. Antropova, together with their colleagues, Russian scientists and educators from Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov, the State Institute of the Russian Language named after A. S. Pushkin, Moscow State Technical University named after N. E. Bauman, Moscow State Pedagogical University, the V.V. Vinogradov Russian Language Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, visited higher educational institutions and schools in different cities and villages of Armenia, such as Stepanovan, Udzhan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Dilizhan, Goris…
For many participants of the Russian delegation, the trip to Armenia was filled with the meetings with long-time friends, nearest and distant relatives, colleagues, classmates, group mates. These meetings emphasized once again how close we are aligned with each other and how strong are our friendly and professional contacts.
