"MEFI-2014", the XXII annual festival of students` films

"MEFI-2014", the XXII annual festival of students` films took place in Peoples` friendship university of Russia on 16 of May under the slogan: "Live while you are young". Six students in their works presented different points of view on the youths` problems. In these films the students of the Faculty of Journalism reason about hobbies, sport, civil position, computer dependency on gadgets and how children perceive different problems. These topics are considered the most important. The subject matter of these films is social, but the methods of writing film scripts and choice of players are absolutely different.

The film "We are the citizens of the world" was recognized as the best by a solid vote. This film was made by the international team of PFUR students of journalism. The project also won in two nominations: "The best cinematography" and "Spectators' Award".

"Dancing frontman", comedy project about difficult working days of the modern youth who decided to open up new sports vistas, took a second place and cups in the nominations "The best coverage of the topic" and "The best music".

Among the participants of the team authors of "Dancing frontman", 3rd year students of journalism Inna Galler, Eliza Tedeeva, Tamara Abildaeva and Dmitry Kosovski.
"Gadgetov.net" (No gadgets), creative team of the experimental project, took a third place and a prize in the nomination "The best script". The main problem solved by the authors of the program is modern youth's global dependence on the Internet and smartphones. Team- 3rd-year students of journalism- Alexandra Rykova, Anastasia Marchenko, Olga Rybakova, Elizabeth Badr and Ekaterina Besova.

Among the main judges were professors of the philological faculty and members of the federal media, the festival's winners in 2012 and 2013, as well as the students themselves.
