UNN and the Royal Society of Chemistry, the UK, are to hold a workshop on September 8
Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN) is holding a workshop for chemists "The Prospects for the Development of Chemical Science in Modern Conditions". Valery Tkachenko, CTO and Head of eScience Division at the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), the UK, will present the RSC current projects, notably a Global Chemistry Network, which will connect chemists across the world and facilitate a free exchange of information among scholars, publishers, IT specialists, librarians, and government agencies from different countries.
The workshop will be take place on Monday, September 8 from 11.30 a.m. until 1.30 p.m. at the Hall of Scientific Demonstration, Building 2, on the 2nd floor, UNN campus. No registration for the workshop is necessary.

White, Vice-Rector for Innovations,Alexei Gushchin, Dean of UNN Faculty of Chemistry (Presentation on future research directions in chemistry), Evgeny Suleimanov, Head of UNN Research Institute for Chemistry (Presentation 'UNN Research Institute for Chemistry: Research Directions and Prospects for Development').
The workshop is organized by the Technology Commercialization Center of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (TCC UNN), the recently established UNN department, aiming to help university technologies enter broad markets, and the UK's Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), one of Europe's oldest scientific associations and 'the world's leading chemistry community, advancing excellence in the chemical sciences'.
The workshop precedes Russia Chemistry Week - a week-long event held by the Royal Society of Chemistry from October 21 to 26 in Moscow.
