URFU ninth among Russian universities
The Ural Federal University (URFU) recently received a "AA" rating from the Academic Ranking of World Universities - European Standard, ranking ninth among Russian universities.

"The results reflect our university's ability to provide students with the necessary knowledge to conduct research and to engage actively with employers," URFU rector Victor Koksharov said. "Occupying ninth place, we have confirmed the high level of education and research we offer as we ended up in the company of colleagues - the leading universities in the country."
The top 10 Russian universities were MIPT, Bauman, Polytechnic University, Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, St. Petersburg State University, State University of Oil and Gas, TPU and NSU.
