Two-headed Elbrus, the highest point of Russia and Europe, is situated on the joint of the borders of Kabardino-Balkariya and Karachaevo-Circassia. Pendular and seat ropeways lead to the shelter "Bochki" (barrels), which is at a height of 3750 meters. The Alpine hotel "Shelter of 11" is situated at a height of 4100 meters.
