Ivanovo (before 1932 Ivanovo-Voznesensk) is the administrative center of Ivanovo region. It is situated in the river basin of the Volga, at a distance of 300 km to the northeast from Moscow, on the popular tourist route " the Gold Ring of Russia ", including ancient Russian cities of Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Suzdal, Kostroma, which are rich in unique monuments of Russian history and culture.
Ivanovo is also known as "the city of brides" and "the city of the first Soviet".
Ivanovo has developed transport infrastructure, including railway communication, regular bus service with various cities, mainly in the central part of Russia, and 3 aerodromes.
