Educational system of Russia
Education system in Russia is centralized, each graduate institution is under the administrative office of Ministry of education. There is a standard that rules the quality of education.
To enrol the Technical University you have to be graduated from secondary school and to have a diploma approving it. You also have to pass the exam in Russian. If your Russian is not fluent enough you can be enrolled to extra-preparing year, there you'll be studying all the subjects in English with lots of hours of Russian. After this year you'll pass the exam again. If failed, student can study on extra-preparing class for one year more.
Each faculty has a plan of studying, so every student can find out all the subjects and exams he'll be faced to in advance.
Each subject consists of theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part called lectures, teaches read the material, and in practical, called seminars students have to take part in discussing the material or doing other tasks.
Grades - from 2 to 5, with 5 the highest result and 2 means failure.
Academic year start on the 1st of September, ends in the middle of June.
It's obligatory to present at all the lectures and seminars. Coming late (after the bell) is not welcome by lots of teachers.
All the studies are held in Russian.
Your studying fee includes using the libraries and libratory work as well.
