St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy

Saint -  Petersburg State Chemical Pharmaceutical Academy was founded in 1919 and is now the oldest pharmaceutical institution of higher education in Russia.

The Academy has been training specialists for foreign countries for 50 years.

The graduates of the Academy are citizens of more than 40 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

SPCPA - is the winner of international prize "Profession is Life" in the category "Best medical school", has a Gold Medal "European Quality" in the nomination "100 Best Universities of Russia" (2004, 2005, 2009) and Gold Medal "Top 100 in Russia in Science and Education" (2010).

Main Academic Programmes

Pharmaceutical Faculty - trains Masters of Science in Pharmacy - managerial staff for chemist's shops, pharmaceutical warehouses, centers of drug quality control, forensic-chemical laboratories and other pharmaceutical establishments and enterprises

Bio-Technological Faculty - (drug industrial technology) trains qualified engineers-biotechnologists, the most prestigious specialists in the field of engineering, prospective managerial staff for the pharmaceutical factories, perfume and cosmetic factories, design studios.

Foundation course division of pre-university preparation centre

Offers classes in: Russian as a foreign language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, in Russian, which are taught in compliance with the standards of the secondary school curriculum.

Those who successfully complete the preparatory training and pass the interview are then enrolled in the program chosen as 1st year students.

The training is offered in groups of 8-10 persons starting October, 1 till June, 30 with an average of 6 days per week, 6 hours per day.
