"Kemerovo Institute of Food Science and Technology"
is the leading educational and research organization, involved into training of engineers for food industry and applied biotechnology.

The KemIFST is an independent HEI which offers educational programmes at all levels of higher, postgraduate and continuing education in a number of fields of science and technology and conducting research.


Status of one of the best higher educational institutions was confirmed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation rating. For the last seven years KemIFST is being awarded with the medal "100 Best Russian Universities".

KemIFST is a partner in the consortium within the framework of the TEMPUS program.

KemIFST is the lead research partner within the framework of the competition for the implementation of projects aimed at the creation of high-tech production, jointly with LLC "Artlife" (RF Government Decree No. 218). The amount of financing is 158 million rubles for 3 years.

Kemerovo Institute of Food Science and Technology provide scholarships for international Master's degree programmes:

Infrastructure of the KemIFST

Scientific Library of the KemIFST was established in 1972 as part of a specialist preparation complex. Overall area of the library - 2000 m2. Number of seats in the reading rooms - 400 and in the computer rooms - 56. Collection of the library has more than 700 000 copies of printed items on various fields of knowledge. Every year more than 300 different journals, newspapers and information editions are taken.

Refectory of the KemIFST designed for 160 sits. Also there are 5 buffets in the KemIFST campus.

There are a lot of sports facilities on the campus. There is a sport hall in the educational building No. 1 and a gym in the educational building No. 5.

The institute has three hostels. with the total living area of 15 162.7 m2. All the necessary conditions for a comfortable stay were created in the hostels of the Institute. Each room has its own bathroom. 18 square meters rooms are designed for 3-4 people, 12 sq.m. room - for 2 people.

Sanatorium "Yunnost'"(Youth) is a health care facility designed for therapeutic and recreational activities for students, faculty, and staff of the Institute.

  6. Technology of enzymatic preparations obtaining
  7. Waste water treatment technology

JOURNAL

The journal "Techniques and Technology of Food Production", published by the Institute, entered the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications, recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation for publication of basic research results of dissertations for the degree of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences.
Since 2013 KemIFST issues scientific and technical peer-review journal "Food and raw materials" in English and German languages, with a periodicity of two volumes a year.

Areas of possible international cooperation
- Development of double and joint degree programs for bachelors and masters;
- Student exchange;
- Faculty staff exchange for both short-term workshops and long-term courses;
- Joint research projects;
- Joint seminars, conferences and meetings;
- Mutual informing on conventions, interviews, scientific meetings and exchange of relevant materials and documents;
- Training of students on a contractual basis.
